Easy donut recipe! No fail donuts!

I am Sheeren Mumtaz Fathima. I am a home-baker and I started baking through my friends, relatives and YouTube videos. I am a passionate baker and my love for my passion just grew day-by-day and now I think I am doing it better than my friends and relatives.
I am too glad to start my own blog. It was requested by most of my friends for a very long time. I took some time to get myself ready. Now I think I am ready!
Today I will be doing and sharing the recipe of my favourite . . . DONUTS!  I have tried a lot of recipes and this one is the easiest of all. I usually follow this recipe and it was never a fail.
Any dish dealing with yeast can lead to a major failure and sure, I too had many. But trust me guys follow this deeply and you'll never face any failure.
I love making donuts for a special reason. I actually love the way it raises itself and it is more like a magic which is delightful to watch.

    Servings: 25

                           Donut

Ingredients:

  1. All-purpose flour - 3 ¼ cups
  2. Powdered sugar - ¼ cup
  3. Instant dry yeast - 2 ¼ tsp
  4. Salt - 2 tsp
  5. Lukewarm milk - 250 ml
  6. Oil/ghee/butter - 2 tbsp
  7. Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
8.Oil - for frying

Method:

  • Add sugar in the warm milk and stir well.
  • Add yeast to the milk, giving it a good stir and keep it aside.
  • Wait for it to proof up. ( Don't skip this as it will only help with no failure! )
  • After it has proofed up, take a mixing bowl and add in all the ingredients together and make it a sticky dough.
  • Cover it with a damp cloth so that no air is let in.
  • Let it proof. ( It should have bloated up more than half of the real size. )
  • After it has proofed up, dust your workspace with some flour.
  • Divide the dough and roll it up until ¾" thickness
  • Now cut it with a donut-maker.( Or any round objects )
  • Let it proof. ( Again cover it with a damp cloth )
  • Deep fry it in medium-flame until golden brown.

               Chocolate icing

Ingredients:

  1. Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
  2. Powdered sugar - ¼ cup
  3. Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  4. Lukewarm milk - 2 tbsp

       Sugar glazed icing

Ingredients:

  1. Powdered sugar - ¼ cup
  2. Milk powder - 2 tbsp
  3. Lukewarm water - 2 tbsp
  4. Vanilla extract - 1 tsp

Method:

  • Mix all of the ingredients well and dip the donuts in it when they are warm.
